Student Testimonials“I chose kidsLINK because of its reputation as a leader in children’s mental health and its view on resilience. The values that kidsLINK holds are different from many other agencies, and I was excited to get the chance to learn from such a dedicated and innovative team. Aside from the practical skills which I am learning from the team at kidsLINK, the most valuable lesson I will take when I leave is to think outside the box and not be afraid to get involved and take initiative.” “As my student placement comes to an end, I just wanted to take the time to say thank you. I feel privileged that for 10 months I got to learn from such a dedicated, fun and inspiring group of people. Not once was I made to feel like “just a student” so thank you for that. On the other hand you have an awesome student program so thank you also for that as it truly enriched my experience. I will sincerely miss working here. Keep doing what you are doing and making a difference. You are all part of something great and should be proud of the work you do even on the days you feel tired. I hope to work with all of you again in the future.” Maria Armstrong, “I chose kidsLINK because the feedback I received on the programs and services they offer are amazing. I chose to do the EIEI program, because when I am done school, I would like to work with the school board and EIEI already works hand in hand with them. EIEI’s reputation within the school board is fantastic, and schools recognize this program. I thought this would be a great way to introduce myself to the school boards. Kelly Odo – Mohawk College “I chose to do my placement at kidsLINK because it was a great agency from my hometown area, and because it offered a wide range of programs that would serve as great learning opportunities for me!” Courtney Peters – Fanshawe College Rebecca says she chose kidsLINK to do her placement because of the positive reputation that the agency holds. There were so many opportunities and learning experiences available to her as a student intern that she wouldn’t have necessarily received at other agencies. Rebecca Roth – Fanshawe College “I cannot believe it went by so fast, and admittedly I feel like I’m not ready to say good-bye just yet. I would like to thank you for welcoming me and for making this an experience that I will never forget. I am so grateful to have gotten to know you and to have worked with the children and their families. I am so impressed by their positive outlook and their determination even in the most difficult of circumstances. I have learned and grown a great deal. Thank you all for your kindness and support! This has been an amazing experience and I feel very lucky to have gotten this opportunity!!” Andra Ene, BSW Student Intern, Child and Family Therapy Program |
